Health Inequities, Open Notes, & Collaborative Documentation (NM)


Description
The Open Notes movement can play an important role in improving health care for vulnerable populations However, literacy disparities and the digital divide can widen health inequalities. Practicing collaborative documentation can improve our ability to engage patients from all backgrounds transparently in our documentation processes, regardless of their ability to access an electronic record. This presentation reviews strategies to incorporate collaborative documentation in our practice, offering specific examples of its implementation in pediatric settings.
